Project Title: Making Global Citizens: Aid and Development in British Postwar Culture.

Supervised by Professor Peter Gurney.

After graduating from the University of Essex with a BA (Hons) in History and Music I joined Classic FM as an assistant producer. A year later I became the producer of a daily arts and music feature programme ‘Tonight at 11’ producing interviews and live music in the studio and on location in the UK and abroad. Two years later I took on the responsibilities of senior producer and head of production, taking on a management role whilst continuing to produce  programmes including special events and documentaries. I have also produced content for the BBC and Sky Television. I was awarded an MA in History with distinction and an Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Studentship in order to undertake a PhD at the University of Essex.
