CHASE Digital Content Creator

Hours: Part time / flexible

Salary: £11.49 per hour (grade 4, point 1) – paid in arrears via timesheet

Reporting to: CHASE DTP Co-ordinator

We are seeking to recruit a Digital Content Creator to produce short, engaging, informative video content about CHASE DTP training and development activities; primarily placement projects but potentially also training events and conferences. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting students on placement at partner organisations, conducting on-camera interviews with students and their placement supervisors, shooting contextual footage, and editing videos suitable for sharing on the CHASE website and social media channels. Due to the nature of the role, the candidate will primarily work remotely but will need to attend occasional meetings at University of Sussex.

We are seeking candidates with relevant technical expertise, ideally their own AV equipment, and examples of previous digital work they have created. As well as the hourly salary, CHASE will cover travel and, where necessary, subsistence expenses.

This role is envisaged as initially lasting for 3 months, at flexible hours by agreement. The post will be line-managed by the CHASE DTP Co-ordinator.

Person specification

Essential:

  • Previous experience in using video equipment and editing software to produce short video content (examples should be included with your application);

  • Has the right to work in the UK on an ongoing part-time basis.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the arts and cultural sectors;

  • Previous interviewing experience, ideally on camera;

  • Previous experience with social media marketing campaigns.
