The key to the event is that students are shown that PhDs have demonstrable value both inside and outside academia, and the support networks established by these events have proved to be invaluable whatever the future holds.
This conference is part of our ‘educational mentoring’ programme and PhD students from across the country use this forum to exchange ideas, practices, experiences and aspirations.
Over the last 8 years 399 students and early career researchers from 106 different Higher Education Institutions have attended the annual “Life Beyond the PhD” conference.
