Urban Encounters Conference 2016

UrbanPhotoFest presents the ninth Urban Encounters conference in Partnership with Tate Modern. The evening before the main conference starts on Friday 4th of November, international urban photographer Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen will deliver our annual artist’s keynote at Tate Modern.

This year’s theme is Photography, Memory and Archive. We have a wide range of international photographers, artists and urbanists discussing their practices and approaches to making images and researching urban spaces. Those attending the conference are also invited to the opening of two Urban Photo Village exhibitions on Friday and Saturday nights.
