Practice Exchange: Articulating Practice is a day of presentations and discussion for PhD researchers in CHASE (Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-East England). The day is free of charge to attend.

The day will explore how practice is imagined, seen, understood, theorised and examined in practice-based/practice-as-research PhD projects. We will hear from practising academics, recently graduated PhDs, and PhD researchers who will reflect on research through practice from a range of perspectives and standpoints. How do researchers across artistic disciplines approach theorising their practice? How do researchers defend research pursued through practice in the context of the viva? What experiences, questions and challenges are shared, and what are specific to certain practices? Each session incorporates time for discussion, and ample coffee breaks will allow for time for researchers across CHASE to meet and discuss their work.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
