Project title: Gender on the Stage: A practical investigation into the performance of gender on the London stage in the mid-eighteenth century.
Through contemporary practice, can we revive key performances from the London theatre of the mid-eighteenth century to gain a deeper understanding of how performers engaged with changing concepts of gender and sex?
