Encounters is the inaugural one day conference for the 2014 CHASE doctoral students, supervisors and partners and will facilitate the networking and potential collaboration opportunities within the cohort.

The evening reception will be launched by key note address by Matthew Taylor, Chief Executive of the RSA, leading on to networking opportunities with participating organisations.

Registration begins at 10:00 at the Courtauld Institute of Art reception.

Dr Alixe Bovey (University of Kent) - 'Crossing Borders: Disciplines, Interdisciplinary, and CHASE'
Dr Maria Lauret (University of Sussex) - 'Venturing out: pleasures and pitfalls of interdisciplinary research'
Professor Jan Plamper (Goldsmiths, University of London) - 'History of emotions across disciplinary boundaries'
